Preschool Programs for Ages 2–6
Amazing Stars Montessori currently serves children ages 2–6 through a full-day, five-day preschool program in Santa Clara. Our classrooms are designed to support children at different stages of early childhood development, from first preschool experiences to kindergarten readiness.
We understand that every child grows at their own pace. Some children are building early independence and social confidence. Others are developing stronger academic readiness, focus, and leadership skills. Our program gives each child a warm, structured environment where they can learn, practice, and grow each day.
Full-Day Preschool Program in Santa Clara
Our preschool program runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. We offer a full-day schedule because consistency matters for young children. A regular routine helps children feel secure, build friendships, understand expectations, and become comfortable in the school environment.
Throughout the day, children participate in Montessori work time, group lessons, outdoor play, meals and snacks, rest time, enrichment activities, and social experiences. This balance gives children the structure they need while still allowing room for curiosity, movement, creativity, and connection.
Our 2’s Class
Our 2’s class supports children who are beginning their preschool journey. At this age, children are developing independence, communication, coordination, and comfort in a classroom setting.
Teachers help children learn classroom routines, practice self-help skills, interact gently with others, and build trust with their teachers and classmates. Activities are designed to be age-appropriate, hands-on, and encouraging.
Children in the 2’s class begin developing important early skills such as:
- Following simple routines
- Using words to communicate needs
- Practicing independence with guidance
- Building early social awareness
- Exploring Montessori materials
- Developing fine motor and practical life skills

Our 3’s Class
Our 3’s class builds on the child’s growing independence and curiosity. At this stage, children are often ready for more focused classroom work, stronger peer interaction, and deeper exploration of Montessori materials.
Teachers guide children through hands-on lessons that support language development, early math thinking, practical life skills, sensorial learning, movement, and social-emotional growth.
Children in the 3’s class are encouraged to make choices, complete activities with care, clean up after work, listen during group time, and begin developing longer attention spans. These daily habits help children become more confident and responsible learners.
Our 4’s+ Class
Our 4’s+ class supports older preschool children as they prepare for kindergarten and the next stage of school. This classroom continues the Montessori foundation while strengthening early academic readiness, independence, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Children work on age-appropriate lessons in language, math, practical life, sensorial learning, cultural studies, art, music, and social development. Teachers also support early writing, number sense, classroom leadership, listening skills, and confidence in group settings.
At this age, children are not only preparing academically. They are also learning how to express themselves, work with others, follow multi-step directions, manage transitions, and take pride in their growth.
Our 4’s+ Class
Our 4’s+ class supports older preschool children as they prepare for kindergarten and the next stage of school. This classroom continues the Montessori foundation while strengthening early academic readiness, independence, communication, and problem-solving skills.

A Consistent Five-Day Schedule
